It’s all about support, validation, and empowerment

Pregnant moms experience a lot, and they often do so in isolation. If you’re feeling judged or no one understands what you’re going through, Therapy can be a safe space for you.

Normalizing your pregnancy experience is extremely important. Therapy can validate your experience and show you that scary thoughts and feelings do not make you a bad mother.

You know your body and baby best, and therapy can help you become a more confident mom. You can learn to tune out the noise and be a better mother in the best ways for your family.

  • “To be pregnant is to be vitally alive, thoroughly woman, and distressingly inhabited. Soul and spirit are stretched – along with body – making pregnancy a time of transition, growth, and profound beginnings.”

    Anne Christian Buchanan

  • “You never understand life until it grows inside of you.”

    Sandra C. Kassis

  • “Motherhood is the biggest gamble in the world. It is the glorious life force. It’s huge and scary—it’s an act of infinite optimism.”

    Gilda Radner

Have questions about perinatal therapy?

Q&A
  • You do not need a mental health diagnosis to begin therapy!

We may explore various diagnoses throughout your treatment, but this is not the path for everyone. Each person’s therapy journey is unique.

Insurance companies require a diagnosis to cover treatment costs, so we will explore this if you are using your insurance benefits.

  • General anxiety, adjustment issues, health anxiety, OCD, depression, body image struggles, and eating disorders.

  • The length of time varies greatly between clients and the issues they are working through, including how long someone would like to spend in therapy. My goal is to get you to a place where you are stable, empowered, and consistently applying tools to maintain your mental health. The minimum number of sessions I typically see clients for if they are stable and dealing with a specific issue is 15.
